Sunbathing myths
I have had an influx of brides coming into the salon and emailing me for advice , but girls the damage is already done. Peeling is not a good look for your wedding day especially if your wearing a strapless gown . The sun has been extremely hot these last few days and yes you are peeling and you are stripy omg . Here are a few tips to ensure you don't peel and those stripes don't appear.
It only takes 15 minutes to burn depending on your skin type . Some people think that if you use a high factor you won't tan this is not true ,using a high factor say a 30 , means you can stay out in the sun for 30 times longer .for example say your skin burns after 5 miniuts without protection ,using a factor 30 will enable you to stay in the sun for 30 x 5 miniuts of course topping it up frequently . Your tan will last longer and your skin won't take a battering .If your sitting in the sun be aware of t shirt straps , back in the 60s-70s umm so they say, it was cool to show your stripes, not today .Keep your skin hydrated and moisturised and exfoliate at least 2-3 times a week, Use aftersun and avoid hot showers or baths.Don't use sun cream over your moisturiser on your face ,use your sun cream as your moisturiser as using two different products could cause a reaction . Prepare your skin before you go on holiday ,it is always a good idea to have a spray tan before you go.
If your not the only milk bottle on the beach you haven't got that urgency to get in the sun and cook your skin for 8 hours .And remember one of the top things that age you the most is careless exposure to the sun .Hope to see you next time when i will be talking about the products we put on our skin could be damaging our health
